Komicstash

A native comic collection app for Linux desktop and Android. There is no application server: each device keeps a local SQLite database, and a WebDAV share you own is the durable store that keeps devices in sync.

Metadata and covers can be imported from Metron and ComicVine.

This follows the principle of local-first; the app stores information only locally or on a WebDAV server you control. There is no other party that holds your data.

Installing

Every release is on the releases page.

  • Arch, CachyOS, Manjaro: the pacman registry on the forge (the release notes show the one-time setup), then sudo pacman -Syu komicstash. Built against Arch's own Qt and KDE Frameworks.
  • Debian testing and sid: sudo apt install ./komicstash_<version>-<build>_amd64.deb. It uses Debian's Qt, which has to be 6.11 or newer, so Debian 13 and Ubuntu 26.04 can't install it; use the AppImage there.
  • NixOS and Nix: nix run git+https://forge.arjenwiersma.nl/arjen/comicstash, or add the flake as an input and install packages.<system>.default.
  • Android: Komicstash-<version>-arm64-v8a.apk (x86_64 is for emulators).
  • Anything else: the AppImage (chmod +x, then run it). It brings its own Qt and KDE libraries and needs glibc 2.43 or newer (Ubuntu 26.04, Fedora 44, Debian testing, Arch).
